NO WAY: Taiwanese regulators have rejected Primus Financial Holdings’ planned purchase of AIG’s Taiwan life insurance unit. WHY: Taiwan is concerned that the firm may be backed by funds from rival China. Taiwan law prohibits Chinese investment in the financial sector.
